Traumatic Brain Injury
A traumatic brain injury (TBI) affects cognitive, physical, and psychological skills. Many brain injuries affect a victim for life. Typically, these injuries result from accidents in which an object strikes the head. Car accidents and work-related accidents (especially on construction sites) are primary causes. However, a TBI may also be caused by poisoning, infection, or a medical accident. A victim can be left with poor balance and coordination, motor skill impairment, lack of strength and endurance, trouble speaking and understanding language, memory impairment, and psychiatric problems. Adjustment to these disabilities is difficult for the victim as well as family and friends. If you or a loved one has suffered from a traumatic brain injury, contact our office today.
